How Much Physical Activity Do You Need?: These latest physical activity guidelines were created by the American Heart Association in partnership with the American College of Sports Medicine. Check it out! (Guidelines for Adults / Guidelines for Older Adults)

Calculate your BMI!: This page explains what the BMI is and why it is often used when discussing the obesity epidemic. It also allows you to calculate your own BMI.

What's in the Foods You Eat? - Search Tool: This search tool provides easy online access to nutrtional information about typical foods that Americans eat every day by using data files in the Food & Nutrient Database for Dietary Studies. The tool allows you to search over 13,000 foods, view and select portions of food, and then view the nutrient values (which can then be printed out).

CDC's Helpful Obesity and Overweight Resources: This Centers for Disease Control and Prevention page provides a list of links ranging from: consumer information, nutrition and physical activity information, obesity and overweight resources, and helpful links for youth and parents.

CDC's Nutrition and Physical Activity Page: This page features current physical activity and nutrition highlights, publications, recommendations, and upcoming conferences.

CDC's Nutrition Topics: This page provides a variety of nutrition links including 5-a-day, healthy eating tips, and trends in food intake since 1971.

NIH Health Information related to Obesity & Overweight: This site provides links to National Institutes of Health web sites offering health information for the public.

NIDDK Weight Loss and Control information : Find publications on nutrition, physical activity, and weight control for the public, for health care professionals and in Spanish from the Weight-control Information Network (WIN).
